Don't miss Muffins & Maps this Thursday! Come join the fun and experience Thinking Maps first hand! Students will be on hand to speak about how Thinking Maps are helping students organize their thinking and improving our learning.

Thinking Maps, developed by Dr. David Hyerle, are visual teaching tools
that foster and encourage lifelong learning. They are based on a simple
yet profound insight: The one common instructional thread that binds
together all teachers, from pre-kindergarten through postgraduate, is
that they all teach the same thought processes.

Mrs. Neal, our Academic Coach, will share this awesome learning tool with you!

Pre-K Applications Available March 1

 

Walker County Schools will begin accepting applications for pre-kindergarten classes for the 2012-2013 school year on March 1, 2012.  Applications will be available at Cherokee Ridge Elementary, Fairyland Elementary, Gilbert Elementary, Naomi Elementary, North LaFayette Elementary, Rock Spring Elementary, Rossville Elementary and the Department of Education in LaFayette beginning March 1, 2012.  Applicants must be 4-years-old by September 1st, 2012, and be legal residents of the State of Georgia.  For more information concerning the Georgia 4-year-old pre-kindergarten program, call Willie Davis at 706-638-7958.
