Fall Break Fun!

Walker County Schools will be closed for fall break next week (October 6-10).
If you're looking for something fun to do with your children, check out some of these events...


Celebrate Walker County's heritage! The Marsh House will host Heritage Day on Saturday, October 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can shop the treasures sale for antiques, vintage items, and handmade crafts. You can take a tour of the Marsh House. You can enjoy Civil War era music provided by the 8th Regiment Band or old-time spirituals performed by Vince Stalling, Faith Studio, and Jason O'Neal (a former Gilbert Gator). Visit the Creative Discovery Museum in Chattanooga for free! Each month Walmart sponsors a free family night. This month's Free Family Night is Thursday, October 9 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Visit cdmfun.org for more information.



Visit the Hunter Museum of American Art! The Hunter invites you to visit and enjoy the Museum free of charge on October 5 from noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy the folk and blues music of Lana Sutton and the Gypsy Muse.
