Pennies for Patients

Dear Gilbert Families,

On Monday, February 23rd, we will begin our Pennies for Patients charity fundraiser here at Gilbert. Pennies for Patients is an annual fundraiser where the students can bring in change to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All money raised will be donated to help find cures for blood diseases/cancers. Last year alone, Georgia schools raised $500,000.00 for Pennies for Patients.

Students who wish to participate should bring in different coins each day. Following is the schedule for the week:

Monday - Penny Day
Tuesday - Nickel Day
Wednesday - Dime Day
Thursday - Quarter Day
Friday - Dollar Day

We are confident we can raise at least $500 for this worthy cause, and are hopeful our students will learn a lot about having compassion and showing goodwill towards others in need.
