Learning @ Local History

Several classes at Gilbert Elementary have been fortunate to receive a visit from the Living and Learning Museum of Walker County. Mr. Don Coleman visited third grade students on May 23. Students were amazed by all the exhibits from the "trunk". They saw a gramophone, an early record player, that still works! Students observed and interacted with several artifacts from the past. Mr. Coleman taught us to count to five in Cherokee. We learned lots of interesting fact about our local culture and history.

Thank you, Mr. Coleman and the Living and Learning Museum of Walker County!
