Did you know we have our very own Super Heroes @ Gilbert?
We've spotted three already! There was a second grade student on the first day. Cruze Peek from fifth grade and Clayton Ingram from third grade were also chosen.
The Super Hero program at Gilbert is something new for us this year. We wanted to do something special to recognize those students who are always doing the right thing, making good choices, behaving marvelously, or demonstrating good character. Thanks to Mr. Harris, Mrs. Scott, and others for the idea, third grade teachers for the bulletin board, and Shop Rite for the donation of the first two bicycles, our program is off to a great start!
Teachers nominate deserving students to Mr. Harris. He chooses a Super Hero daily. The student has his/ her photo taken to be placed on the bulletin board and is given a small prize pack. He or she also joins Mr. Harris for lunch that day! At the end of each month, all the students are in a drawing for the bicycle. We're giving away one per month for the rest of the year!
