'Tis the Season...

Mrs. Burnette's class has been working on a very special project this holiday season. Her classroom is hosting a Giving Project. One of our News-2-You stories this week was about a book called The Mitten Tree. In the book a lady has compassion on the children that play outside her window. She  sees that there are kids that don't have mittens to keep their hands warm in the snow. She knits mittens and leaves the warm mittens for the children on a tree outside. Courtney suggested that they collect mittens and give them to children in need. What a great way for our students to also show compassion and think of others.

Mrs. Burnette's goal was 100 pairs of mitten. As of today, they have collected 124 pairs! If you would like to help out, just send in a new pair of mittens or gloves. We will be collecting mittens until Friday!

Thank you for helping us remember it's better to give then receive!
