Don't miss the Reindeer Run on Saturday, December 7th! Many teachers from Gilbert will be participating in the race! Come out and cheer them on!

The LaFayette Optimist Club will be hosting the 2nd annual Reindeer Run. The Reindeer Run is a 5k Fun Run/Walk & 1 mile that will be held on Saturday, December 7th,  8:00am at Joe Stock Memorial Park in Downtown LaFayette, GA. Proceeds will benefit the City of LaFayette Police Department Shop with a Cop/Fireman Program.

The Shop with a Cop Program provides funds to over 35 needy children ages Pre-K-5th grade. These children get the opportunity to shop for Christmas presents at our local Wal-Mart. The goal of the Shop with  a Cop Program is that all local needy children will get a present for Christmas. In the past the program has often ran out of funds before all needy children could receive Christmas gifts.
