Exciting News!

Here's a little peek inside Gilbert's newest endeavor! We're very excited about our new Aquaponics lab! We are able to fund this project through grants from the state's STEM program. The folks from HATponics are in the process of installing a 2000 square foot indoor aquaponic system that will be a fully functional sustainable agriculture classroom by the start of the 2013/2014 school year.

38 Days!

We hope you are enjoying these hot summer days! It's difficult to believe that we return to school in 38 days. Summer is flying by! For those of you who like to plan ahead, Walmart and other area stores are already stocked and ready for back-to-school time. Our supply list is available by clicking the link on the right hand side of the page. Our PTO will be offering a new school store this year. They will have supplies available also. Be sure to check out Teacher Lists, too! There you will find teacher's wish lists. These include items such as Kleenex, hand sanitizer, and other items that make life easier inside the classroom.

• Thursday, July 11 from 5:30 - 8 p.m. Creative Discovery Museum will host this month's Free Family Fun night. Make a splash in RiverPlay! Create a masterpiece in Arts Alley! Dig the dinos in Excavation Station! Bring the family and enjoy art lessons, science demos, a drawing for a free membership, guests from other organizations such as Project Ready for School and much much more! • Colossal Coaster World VBS will be offered at Naomi Baptist Church Sunday, July 7 – Friday, July 12, from 5:45-8:45 p.m., starting with a meal for the children. Family Fun Night will be on Friday with a meal for all. Call 706-638-4601 for more information.
• Chattooga Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School from Sunday, July 7, through Thursday, July 11. VBS is from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. with commencement and family fun night on Friday. The church is located at 6982 Highway 337, about 7 miles south of LaFayette in the Center Post community.
