Sunset @ Camp River Ridge |
One of the coolest traditions at Gilbert Elementary School is getting to go to Camp River Ridge in 5th grade. We've been going every year for at least twenty years now. In October, the teachers load up all 5th grade students and go on a three day, two night adventure in Ten Mile, Tennessee. Students and teachers participate in team building, craft projects, and many outdoor activities including fishing, canoeing, and archery. It's a great trip for everyone involved.
Our fifth graders are currently selling World's Finest Chocolate bars to help fund this trip. You can help out by purchasing a bar from one of them.
On Friday, they also had a lemonade stand. They sold refreshing cold lemonade for 50 cents a cup. Hopefully your student was able to get a cup!
Please stay tuned for more opportunities to support our Camp River Ridge trip!
