Give with Target!

Your vote make a big difference to our school!
Visit GiveWith.Target.com to vote for our school

This year, Target will give money to schools all over the country for one simple act: a vote. Our school needs just 25 votes to earn a $25 donation from Target. But that's only the beginning. For each additional vote, our school will get $1 more. So please remember that, although the gesture is small, the rewards are potentially huge. Go to GiveWith.Target.com to vote for Gilbert Elementary School once a week through September 21 or until Target has given away all $5 million. And please share this with your relatives and friends!

Thanks,
Mrs. Richardson :)

Summer is flying by!

Can you believe it's already August?

Hopefully, you and your family are having a wonderful summer! Just in case you are browsing the circulars for back-to-school supplies, I thought I'd post a couple of sites that may be helpful!

Click to Visit!
The first site, Teacher Lists.com,  is for the classroom supply and wish lists for classrooms. Just click on Find a School and enter our zip code (30728). Next, choose Gilbert Elementary and Find My List. You will find a list of items teachers have requested. Supply lists are the items your child will need for the year. There's also a teacher's wishlist. It contains items that are frequently used in the classroom and need to be replenished throughout the school year. Here you'll find items like tissues, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. These items are not furnished by the school and teachers must purchase them on their own.

Want to help our kids? It’s easy. Our school can receive up to $10,000 in Target GiftCards® for books or any supplies we need. Wouldn’t that be great? All we need to do is vote for our school each week until September 8. It’s part of Give With Target®. For every 25 votes our school receives, Target will send a $25 gift card. Find out more and vote at Facebook.com/Target.

Watch your mailbox! Student letters for the 2012-13 school year will be mailed soon! You'll find out who your homeroom teacher will be and what supplies you'll need. Remember that 3rd - 5th grades are departmentalized. Students will have all three teachers in the grade. Mark your calendars for Open House! It's Friday, August 31 from 5 - 7 p.m. See you in less than a month!
